Metal Gear Solid HD Collection Sneaks onto Vita Next Month

Transfarring functions still present as Peace Walker ducks out.

The Metal Gear Solid HD Collection is set to launch on PlayStation Vita in Europe on June 29th, Konami has confirmed.

Both PS2 classics Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty and Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater will appear on the collection sans PSP tale Peace Walker, which made up the trio of Hideo Kojima’s remastered magnum opus.

Unique to Sony’s struggling portable, The HD Collection will feature new control schemes making use of the handheld’s front and rear touch inputs to perform such actions as slicing the throats of your enemies and cycle through your inventory to find a nice box to hide in.

The transfarring feature coined by series creator Hideo Kojima at last year’s pre-E3 Konami conference will also make its debut allowing saves of both Sons of Liberty and Snake Eater to be shared between the PS3 and Vita versions of the HD Collection.

Both physical and digital versions of the game are expected to be available at launch.

The collection originally launched on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 back in February.
