Developers confirm no plans for online multiplayer.
New playable characters and missions are being planned as post-release content for Platinum Games’s rebooted Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance.
Kojima Productions producer Yuji Korekado brought up the news of Rising’s DLC when asked about the possibility of an online multiplayer mode.
“We don’t have any plans for competitive online play or anything like that,” said Korekado.
“However we do have plans for some download content after the release from the game that will allow you to play maybe as a different character or some new missions.”
Revengeance is currently being developed by Platinum Games and being overseen by Metal Gear creator Hideo Kojima and his team at Kojima Productions.
The game is due to launch in early 2013 on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
