RPG makes a triumphant return that’s all but too late for closed developer.

UK sales of action-RPG have spiked in the past week following news that the company has shut its doors.

A full view of the UK Top 40 reveals that Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning has re-entered the charts with an impressive return at 26th place – neck and neck with Nintendo and Ubisoft cash cows Mario Kart 7 and Just Dance 3.

Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning, which has been absent in the UK charts for some months now, launched in February selling over a million units in its first three months on sale.

Developer 38 Studios hit the rocks last week when it announced it had laid off its entire workforce and was closing its doors as it was unable to meet loan repayments.

It’s a great shame indeed. We at GamerZines wish all those affected by the closures all the best in finding employment as soon as possible.
