Do you have what it takes to be a racing driver? Polyphony Digital think so.
Sony has announced that the annual GT Academy initiative, a competition to find a gamer capable of becoming a real-life racing driver, will begin on May 1st.
As with previous years the competition will be a strictly online affair with a free-to-download demo for players to register their best time using a fixed setup car on an internationally renowned track; both of which have yet to be revealed.
The competition, which is a collaboration between Polyphony Digital and Nissan, already has a history of finding bonafide racing talent with previous winner Lucas Ordonez claiming a podium at last year’s Le Mans 24 hours.
