Seth MacFarlane’s series is still a thing right?
Activision has announced that Family Guy: Back to the Multiverse will be released on Friday, November 23rd for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. Few journalists actually know what the quality of this TV tie-in actually is, as we still haven’t gotten an opportunity to play it, but the new assets at least look fairly in line with the show.
Gameplay will be co-op focused with Stewie and Brian working together to stop another evil baby genius named Bertram, as he seeks to destroy all of Quahog. We’re guessing that last bit, but that seems like something an antagonist would do.
As well as a linear co-op campaign, there will also be four-player competitive multiplayer with Peter, Brian, Quagmire and Stewie all playable. Now stop us if we’re looking into this too much, but where’s the love for the female members of the cast? Are we all too busy ‘broing out’ to show Meg or Lois some love? Wait that didn’t quite come out right.
Games based on the Family Guy license rarely live up to expectations, but who knows maybe this time it’ll be different. To find out more about Back to the Multiverse, check out the game’s Facebook page.
