EA Sports has released a new developer diary to show off NHL 14′s new collision physics engine, and, well, it makes player hits look stunningly painful.
We’re probably what you would call casual hockey fans here at GamerZines, but NHL 14′s new tech, modified from FIFA’s existing Player Impact Engine, is really impressive. See what we’re talking about yourself, by watching the video below:

Despite substantial effort, EA Canada has never really nailed the violent nature of hits in hockey, but this year the team is making massive leaps forward in both the impact and believability of contact between players. Here’s hoping the team has finally cracked it…
NHL 14 is released in Europe on Friday, 13th September for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
