Sony has announced it will begin shutting down its PSP Digital Comics service starting October 30th.
As of the end of the month, users will no longer be able to purchase new comics and the servers will be shutdown as soon as ‘mid-January’.
Sony suggests downloading all purchased content before then.
Digital Comics launched on PSP in December 2009 and has been supported by notable publishers such as Marvel and Archie Comics.
“We stopped providing new content to the Comic Store last summer to focus on bringing the comic service to other Sony devices,” said Sony in a Q&A.
“Our focus now is to bring more digital entertainment services to our products.”
Sony has not announced plans to bring the service to PlayStation Vita at this time.
