From the creator of Resident Evil comes something even scarier.
Bethesda has announced that The Evil Within, the next game from Resident Evil creator Shinji Mikami, will launch for PC, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on Friday, August 29th.
North America on the other hand will receive Tango Gameworks’ début release three days earlier on Tuesday, 26th August.
The Evil Within, which is know as Psychobreak in Japan (totes a better name), is essentially a survival horror game with players assuming the role of detective Sebastian Castellanos as him and his colleagues are flung into a supernatural world of pain while investigating a grisly mass murder.
If you go all shy when you see scary scenes depicting viscera being flung everywhere and big bulky monsters throwing around sharp pointy things we recommend you probably pass up an opportunity to play The Evil Within. Actually scratch that, you could probably do with a few scares – it’d be good for you…
