Codemasters have announced a new game from their Birmingham studio today, F1 Race Stars.
The Mario Kart lookalike features the official liveries, drivers and teams from the world’s premier motorsport only they’ve been ‘chibified’ with cars shrinking, helmets growing and tracks radically transformed from their real-world counterparts.
Obviously this is aimed at capturing Formula One’s younger audience, but it looks fairly inventive from what looks like for all intents and purposes another kart racer.
The trailer will give you an idea of exactly what we’re talking about.
Expect F1 Kart Racer to appear on PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 alongside F1 2012 this September.
