Pre-orders increasing “week-on-week.”
Gearbox Software’s Borderlands 2 has become 2K Games’s most pre-ordered title to date.
“We’re exceptionally happy with the level of support gamers have shown to Borderlands 2, and the pre-orders are reflecting what a beloved franchise this is,” said Take-Two UkK sales director Dave Gould.
2K’s library of published titles includes the likes of BioShock, Civilization, Mafia, and the Darkness – all outperformed by Borderlands 2, the sequel to the 2009 original.
“Orders are increasing week-on-week at a rate we’ve never before expereinced for a 2K title. They are exceeding out already high expectations, there’s huge momentum behind the game.”
Borderlands 2 launches on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC on September 21st.
