Like every good awards ceremony, we had thought about hiring some C-list comic to host our P3Zine Game of the Year awards, revealed in the next issue of P3Zine, out this Thursday 2nd December.
But having left it a bit too late to organise (and quite frankly not wishing to waste the budget on cheap jokes and even cheaper champagne) we didn’t. So don’t go expecting a witty script to accompany this year’s awards. Or an awkward five minutes as we pick on one guy in the audience. Or any inappropriate jokes. Actually, I might slip in one of those if my editorial director lets me.
But what you can be sure of is the definitive roundup of 2010′s best games – and there have been quite a few good ones to pick from. We’ll be dividing each of the nominees up by genre before settling on the overall 2010 PS3 Game of the Year in what’s sure to be the event of the year. Maybe.
So what do you expect to come out on top? Red Dead Redemption? FIFA 11? Get Fit With Mel B? If you’re expecting the latter, forget it. Here are the nominees in alphabetical order, and remember this is for PS3 only – our other mags will be doing a similar thing later in the year.
