BEST ONLINE MULTIPLAYER: BATTLEFIELD 3
There was only ever going to be two in the running for this, but it’s the relative freshness of Battlefield 3′s vehicle-based warfare that just secures it the victory. It’s the unpredictability of Battlefield that makes it tick with us – the helicopters crashing into cranes overhead, the tanks thundering through brick walls in a team’s last-dash attempt at assaulting an M-COM station. But whichever side you take, it’s hard not to agree that there’s never been a better time for online console gaming.

BEST PSN GAME: FROM DUST
Okay, so the game behind From Dust may not have been particularly groundbreaking, but the technology and spectacle behind it certainly (and literally) was. The God game players have been waiting for since games began, From Dust gave you ultimate control over huge masses of land, free to manipulate the earth in any way possible. Another stunner from Eric Chahi.
