Best Price Call Duty Black Ops

Published on November 8th, 2010

Call of Duty: Black Ops launches tonight and you’re going to be buying it, right? Chances are that means you’ll want to know which retailer’s offering the best deal on the high street, and whether there’ll be any supermarket price wars going on too.

Well there are, but in truth, they’re not quite as appealing as last year’s ridiculous £25 offer for Modern Warfare 2. They’re still pretty good though, and for a guide to the best prices on the high street, take a look at our buyer’s guide below.

Be aware that all prices below apply to the standard edition of the game on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. If you want the Hardened or Prestige Edition, you’re probably already too late.

ASDA – £36.97 or £4.97 when you trade in Fable III, Fallout: New Vegas or Star Wars: The Force Unleashed II.

Tesco – £39.90 or £25 when you buy either 2100 Microsoft Points, 3 Months Xbox Live Gold Membership or a £20 PSN Card.

Sainsbury’s – £37.97 or £29.97 when you spend £30 or more on other in-store items.

Morrisons – £39.99 or £29.99 when you buy any other chart game.

GAME/Gamestation – £44.99 or £24.99 when you buy any other chart game or trade in either Halo: Reach, Dead Rising 2, F1 2010 or FIFA 11. Though it’s not been confirmed, you may also be offered a further discount on the strategy guide at the time of purchase.

HMV – £42.99 or £7.99 when you trade in Medal of Honor.

Best Buy – There may only be a few of them in the UK, but Best Buy are offering Black Ops for a tasty £29.99.

Blockbuster – £44.99 or 99p when you trade in two of the following: Fable III, Fallout New Vegas, Medal of Honor, EA Sports MMA, F1 2010 or Star Wars: The Force Unleashed II.

So what’s the best deal to be had? Well if you don’t live by a Best Buy, we reckon Asda’s probably your best bet. But get down there sharpish – they’re bound to sell out at midnight.

Call of Duty: Black Ops launches tonight on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PC, Wii and DS.
