EA lets the cat out of the bag early.
Battlefield 4 and an upcoming beta for the unannounced shooter has been outed by an pre-order promotion for Medal of Honor: Warfighter.
The most curious thing about this is that the promotion was spotted on publisher EA’s own online store Origin.
EA has yet to announce a follow-up to 2011′s Battlefield 3, a game which developer DICE is currently supporting with downloadable content well into early 2013.
The promo has since been removed from the Origin store but not until it was snapped by a number of internet sites.
“Battlefield 4? If it isn’t on Battlefield.com, it isn’t official,” said a comment from the official Battlefield twitter.
Expect EA to make an announcement sometime before Warfighter’s release in October.
