Three-part story DLC to offer alternate history of the American Revolution.
Ubisoft has confirmed that a Season Pass for Assassin’s Creed 3 will be available when the game launches on October 31st.
Priced at 2,400 Microsoft Points or £23.99 on PlayStation network, the Season Pass promises to deliver five pieces of downloadable content in the six months following the game’s release
This will include a three-part single-player story titled ‘The Tyranny of King Washington” that will offer an alternative spin on the American Revolution.
“History is our playground, and Assassin’s Creed teams have always loved playing with historical facts and their consequences as a way to better understand a time period,” said executive producer Sebastien Puel.
“While Assassin’s Creed III concentrates on history as it happens, we wanted to take some liberties with this DLC and tell you how things ‘could have happened.’”
Here’s Ubisoft’s blurb about the story-based DLC:
“It’s 1783. As the revolution comes to a close, a new and most unexpected enemy emerges. Driven by the desire to secure the fate of the colonies, George Washington, the greatest hero of the revolution, succumbs to the temptation of infinite power. The new King is born and his reign leaves no one untouched. To return freedom to the land, our new hero Connor must dethrone a tyrant he once called friend.”
