Ubisoft reveal new numbered sequel in their biggest franchise.
Ubisoft’s favourite annual franchise Assassin’s Creed seems to be getting a new numbered release this year.
According to newly released boxart the new entry titled ‘Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag’ is set in a similar era to the previous game in the series and will be released on PC, PlayStation 3, WiiU, and Xbox 360.
It’s worth noting that Ubisoft hasn’t revealed any information apart from the boxart and the name, but it would be very strange for the French publisher to reveal boxart for a new game if it wasn’t coming out within the same calendar year.
Additionally it appears the PlayStation 3 version of Assassin’s Creed IV will feature an hour’s worth of exclusive content, according to a blurb on the box art.
More details are set to be revealed on Monday March 4th at 5pm GMT according to a communication from Ubisoft, so we won’t have long to wait to learn more.
Until then it’s worth pondering the implications of this announcement and what big features will be added to this franchise yet. More ship battles please Ubi!
