Soldier of Fortune Payback preview for the PC
The Soldier of Fortune series is back soon with its latest instalment, Payback. Out in November, it promises to be even more grisly than previous chapters, and just as controversial as it plays out mercenary warfare in strangely contemporary-looking warzones. We're looking forward to the same FPS experience, with close combat and modern weaponry, that we've enjoyed in the previous Soldier of Fortune outings - will new developer Activision deliver? Check out our Soldier of Fortune: Payback preview to find out more about the game now! Click here to read the full Soldier of Fortune Payback preview for the PC now! |

Company of Heroes Opposing Fronts review for the PC
If you've played the original Company of Heroes, then you'll probably have been waiting impatiently for follow-up Company of Heroes: Opposing Fronts ever since you finished the game. Opposing Fronts isn't really a sequel or continuation of the game, but it picks up the original gameplay and gives you the opportunity to play out WW2 battles from either the Allied or the German perspective. Nor is it an expansion pack - you can pick up and play Opposing Fronts without having played the original Company of Heroes, although you might find it more confusing than seasoned gamers. So will Company of Heroes: Opposing Fronts live up to its legacy? We think so - find out how it earned our PCGZine Gold Award in our full review now! FIFA 08 review for the PC
Football is the name of the game this month, what with PES 2008 (also reviewed in this issue) and now FIFA 08 out for the PC. FIFA has been the game of choice for many footie gamers, but it's had its fair share of criticism too, particularly on the PC which doesn't lend itself to the game particularly well. FIFA 08 has the usual starry line-up of authentic teams and players, but will the gameplay live up to it and provide a better gaming experience for PC-based footie fans? Pro Evolution Soccer 2008 review for the PC
Pro Evolution Soccer is back with its annual update, and this year you'll really see the difference. With tweaked gameplay that makes it more accessible and appealing to both the hardcore and more casual footie gamers alike, PES 2008 is a newly streamlined affair that almost certainly knocks arch rival FIFA to the title this year. We like it so much we've given it our coveted PCGZine Gold Award - find out what makes PES 2008 so good in our in-depth review. Stranglehold review for the PC
Stranglehold has been much heralded as 'the John Woo game' - the Hollywood director has been personally involved in the development of the game and much has been made of his trademark effects that Stranglehold is scattered with. Stranglehold also features the voice talents of star Chow Yun Fat, so you'd be forgiven for thinking it's more of a Hollywood blockbuster than a mere PC game. At its root of course, Stranglehold has to hold its own as an action shooter, so does all the movie hype add to the gameplay, or detract from it? We've been playing Stranglehold this month - read our review to find out how we rate it. Click here to read the full Stranglehold review for the PC now! |

MotoGP 07 review for the PC
MotoGP 07 will probably be the clear choice for motor-bike racing fans - following on from last year's MotoGP 06, this bike racer doesn't have much in the way of competition coming close to it. Crossing the divide between simulation and arcade racing, MotoGP 07 is a solid, polished game for existing fans and newcomers to bike racing alike, but are there enough new features and enhancements to make it worth a purchase for fans of the 06 version? Read our full MotoGP 07 review to find out what we think now! Click here to read the full MotoGP 07 review for the PC now! |
