Assassin's Creed preview for the PC
Assassin's Creed: a stealth-em-up set in the not immediately obvious video game territory of the 12th Century Holy Land. You'll play a fallen master assassin, and you'll need to repair your damaged reputation by racking up the assassinations - and escaping with your life. We've had a hands on look at Assassin's Creed - which isn't due to hit the PC until November - and we are very excited by what we've seen. For a start it looks gorgeous, with utterly stunning graphics, as you'll see in our Assassin's Creed in-game video footage. Find out more when you read our Assassin's Creed preview for the PC now! Assassin's Creed preview for the PC
Your list of gaming desires is less
than likely to feature a freeroaming
12th Century Jerusalem
would in the top spot. But when you fill
it with brutal assassinations, glorious
eye-candy and some seriously stealthy
gameplay, it’s no wonder that Assassin’s
Creed has become one of the most
highly anticipated titles of the year.
Taking on the role of Altair, a fallen
master-assassin, you’ll find yourself
fighting to redeem Altair in the eyes of
his peers, and rebuild his status within
the Assassin’s Order after a failed
assassination attempt robs him of his
status. As the bodycount rises, so does
your reputation, and the skill with
which you’ll have to manipulate your
environment.
The streets of Jerusalem are positively
thriving with life. In fact, you’ve
probably heard games journalists
spouting countless times over the years
about “living, breathing” cities. Well, for
once it appears the cliché deserves it’s
use. The Holy Land and it’s inhabitants
prove to be both boon and bane, and
play as large a role in your ongoing
success as the blade in your hand.
