Dawnspire review - PC
Silent Grove’s “team-based online
action” point-and-click RPG
seems to have been largely
ignored by any sort of hype machine at
all. More than a little worrying for an
online-only title which ultimately relies
upon the presence of a strong and
active community.
At first, things seem perfectly
normal. You create your account,
choose your class from the usual
mage/warrior/healer/rogue types, pick
your skills and spells, and finally name
your character. However, things begin
to get more than a little broken when
you join a server for your first game,
and realise that the vast majority of
your team mates (and the opposition
for that matter) are in fact AI controlled
bots. As a result, Dawnspire becomes
less of a Player Vs Player affair and more
of a tedious online bot-match. If you’re
looking for some great multiplayer
battles, you’re going to have to
convince your friends to pick up a copy
of the game.
