Crysis preview – PC

Due out this winter, Crysis promises to be one of the massive games of the year. You’ll don a super-human strength-giving nano-suit to take on alien foes right here on Earth – and very handy it will be too, as the aliens are no pushover. We’ve got a huge Crysis preview for you this month with all the latest news from the game in development, plus you can see for yourself how good it looks in the in-game video footage. As always, you can send us your thoughts about the game too. Find out more in our Crysis preview for the PC now!

Crysis preview – PC
Consider the evolution of the videogame tree. It’s been a fairly slow one…
At first they were a clutch of pixels. In the 90s they became almost three dimensional. By the millennium they were 3D and scarred by bullets. Eventually they started to sway and the leaves looked more natural, even up close up.
But it’s only with Crysis that trees are finally becoming, well, trees. And, believe us, that’s important in this entrancing alien-bashing blaster… Almost all of Crytek’s newest shooter takes place outside in their customary jungle locations where you’re surrounded by darned trees – trees that live, die, protect and even kill The sumptuous swaying foilage and trunks here are phenomenally realistic, with each individual plant responding to changing currents of air and bending gently as you brush through them in your hi-tech nano suit. In Crysis you glide toward a crashed alien ship – trying to anonymously bump off Korean military operatives so you can have a chat with our towering, menacing visitors without sparking World War III in the process. You’ll use trees like never before.
