Spider-Man 3 Review - PC
And people say Peter Parker has it
hard. In the latest Spider-Man
film, everyone’s favourite
photojournalist simply has to battle
with the symbiote, tackle Venom, beat
up the New Goblin, lamp the Sandman,
and he’s saved the day. That’s easy.
Maybe Parker would be a bit more
appreciative of his situation if he’d ever
tried to play the game. Fighting those
same super-villains while trying to deal
with the world’s worst frame-rate, a
terrible camera, and numerous other
glitches is not an easy task.
Joking aside, we have to say that
Spider-Man 3 (a port of the 360 version)
is one of the buggiest we’ve ever seen.
Whether you’re swinging your way
across New York, fighting super-villains
in the underground, or taking your
girlfriend on a thrill ride (stop
sniggering at the back), you’ll be lucky
if the faction moves at more than 10
fps for any length of time. Even with all
the details set to low we had expansive
slowdown, so if you have anything less
than a top-of-the-range PC, you’d be
best off just not bothering at all.
