When the new Call of Duty installment hits the shelves in time for Christmas, fans will see a big change. The clue is in the full name: Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare. Yes, in this fourth game in the Call of Duty series, developers Infinity Ward have moved on from the familiar WW2 action and taken their troops into all new battles. It's a very different direction, with new, international locations and an all-new arsenal of weapons. Starcraft II Preview - PC
Lots and lots of people are going to be very excited about this. This month, we bring you news of Blizzard's long-awaited Starcraft II, which we can reveal will be out on the PC in 2008. Sci-fi RTS Starcraft first blazed onto the PC in 1998, and was later complemented by the expansion pack Brood War. Always a great multi-player game, Starcraft II should develop this further into online gaming, coming as it does from the makers of the mighty MMO World of Warcraft. Halo 2 Review - PC
The original Halo was a total phenomenon on the Xbox and the Halo series is the subject of much discussion and feverish speculation among gamers generally, with its fantastic graphics, engaging plot and many, many guns. Tomb Raider Anniversary Review - PC
It's hard to believe, but it's been 11 years since Lara Croft first breezed into our lives in the original Tomb Raider. Now, umpteen sequels and spin offs and multiple platforms later, she's back in a nostalgia-fest Tomb Raider Anniversary. A remake of the original Lara outing, Tomb Raider Anniversary sees our heroine revisiting old haunts and fighting old enemies, but with markedly improved graphics and some new moves she's picked up along the way. The Settlers: Rise of an Empire Preview - PC
The Settlers: Rise of an Empire will be the sixth incarnation of the enduringly popular Settlers series. As before, you'll be in charge of shepherding a group of settlers building a new home for themselves in a faraway land: this time round, you'll be growing the settlement - and the population - from pocket-sized to bustling city and there are improvements and developments aplenty promised. Spider-Man 3 Review - PC
Spidey's back - the arrival of Spiderman 3 on the big screen heralds another outing on the PC for everyone's favourite web-slinging superhero. Swing, spin and leap your way through the city, tackle no fewer than three supervillains and solve any number of crimes along the way - you're going to be busy in this game. Even more so as the city is free-form, so you can wander where and when you want to, completing a variety of missions from photographic assignments to big showdowns with various Spiderman-nemeses. Football Manager - Interview with Miles Jacobson
The Football Manager series is already hugely popular, with legions of fans donning the virtual sheepskin coat to manage their team to championship glory. There have been forays into multiplayer options, but it's not been a major focus of the game - until now.
