Elder Scrolls IV: Shivering Isles Review PC

Elder Scrolls IV: Shivering Isles Review - PC

Elder Scrolls: Oblivion needs very little introduction - a hugely popular multi-platform RPG with legions of devoted fans, left bereft once they had completed the adventure. Bereft no more, though, thanks to the arrival of expansion The Shivering Isles. The Shivering Isles picks up the adventure from Oblivion and spirits you off to a new realm, where the action is familiar, but also with enough that is new and different to keep the game fresh. The stunning realism of the graphics is still there, but will Shivering Isles be as all absorbing and involving as Oblivion? Can it even improve on it? Elder Scrolls IV: Shivering Isles Review - PC

You may well have finished every quest in Bethesda’s magnificent RPG Oblivion, but here’s a trial that’ll fox even the most seasoned of adventurers in the land of Cyrodiil. Who can name me one award that Oblivion didn’t win last year? Best RPG, best PC game, best game on any format, best newcomer in the R&B category… So I made the last one up, but to be fair, it even won some accolades based on the rousing score that accompanied your wanderings around the Great Forest. So it isn’t that much of a stretch. Still, the point is made, Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion was very, very good, and if you haven’t played it yet then you really should. One of the things that made it very good was the sheer scale and depth of realisation to the world, so what on Earth has Bethesda included in this add-on pack to improve up on it?
