In the Warfront: Turning Point scenario, Hitler has died early on in the war, and science has developed leaps and bounds and in some very odd directions (Nazis wearing jetpacks, anyone?). You can play the European campaign as the Allies, the Germans or the Russians, each of which have their own approaches, but it's safe to say you've never thought of WW2 like this before. There obviously comes a time when creative minds, regardless of their chosen medium, sit down and actively strive to create something a little bit different, a little bit unique. Sometimes a tweak here or there would suffice, other times anything less than total renovation would fall short. In opening a front on the World War II strategy genre, developer Digital Reality has focused on re-imaging in the historical events of the period rather than innovating in the field of virtual battles. The result is a solid and fun game, which pulls off the unenviable feat of making Nazis in jetpacks seem a little stale.
