Resident Evil 4 review

Just how well has this fourth installment of the hugely popular and acclaimed Resident Evil horror series translated to the PC? Originally launched on the GameCube, and later ported to the PS2, it's taken two years for Resident Evil 4 to arrive on the PC. Resident Evil 4 review
Released on the Gamecube in 2005, and later ported to the PS2, Resident Evil 4 has been a commercial and critical success. Sporting gameplay that was a radical departure from the series’ norm, the game was regarded by many as an instant classic, and a game that all future horror games should aspire to. Fast forward to 2007, and the PS2 version’s been ported across to the PC, but sadly, a lot’s been lost in translation. For those of you unfamiliar with the earlier versions, and there must be some, Resident Evil 4 puts you in the boots of Leon S Kennedy, star of RE 2, who’s been tasked with rescuing the President’s daughter from a group of Spanish villagers. This sets the scene for one of the most original Resident Evil games yet; aside from the basic game dynamics, there’s not even a mention of the normally ubiquitous Umbrella Corporation. Well. Not really.
