Brink preview for the PC Taking the mentality of Enemy Territories Wolfenstein and Quake Wars and putting them inside a slick story-driven game is no simple task, yet over the past few years Splash Damage have been carefully assembling a development dream team with exactly that in mind. It all takes place in Ark, a floating haven for the world's elite that bobs on the top of an ocean that global warming has seen swamp the land. Here Ark's law enforcers are in constant conflict with the homeless stowaways trying to scrape a living there, often resulting in the spray of both bullets and arteries. You'll be able to play Brink with three other players in co-op fashion in storybased missions, but brilliantly, in every level there will be players on the rival side doing their best to attain their own goals. Even more brilliantly, you'll be swapping between different roles and selecting your own dynamically created personal mini-missions – each with a set amount of experience to gain attached to them, according to their relative difficulty – as you and your team move through the level.
