Rainbow Six Vegas 2 review PCIt's back to Vegas, baby, Vegas to deal with some unfinished business in Rainbow Six Vegas 2, the latest in Ubisoft's Tom Clancy franchise. While you're back in Vegas, it's quite a different landscape to the previous game - fewer casino settings and more diverse locations around the city - and you'll have a brand new alter-ego with command of a different squad this time. All the good bits of the gameplay are still there, but it's faster paced and with lots of exciting new content and features - can it really be better than before? We've got a full review of Rainbow Six Vegas 2 in this issue of PCGZine - find out all about the game and why we awarded it our PCGZine Gold Award now! ![]() Rainbow Six Vegas 2 review for the PC The last Rainbow Six game in 2006 ended in betrayal, bloodshed and unfinished business on the Hoover dam above Las Vegas. Rainbow member Gabriel turned out to be a terrorist stooge, escaping from a crashed chopper at the end of the game with a ‘To be continued…' promise. So it's back to Vegas for the sequel, although this time you'll follow a parallel squad, playing as new team leader Bishop, not Logan, and revealing some of the back story to Gabriel's dark-side defection. But while the first Vegas game was heavily casino-focused, Vegas 2 is light on the slots acreage and only really uses one casino interior as a full level. You'll be abseiling from helicopters into junkyards, suburban backyards, penthouse suites, island villas, gymnasiums, oil refineries and even a LAN gaming event at the Las Vegas Convention Centre this time round. So locations are as diverse as a contemporary urban combat game could hope to offer, providing tactical playgrounds for some of the most intense and gripping fire-fights you'll ever have played.
