World War 2 games are enduringly popular, and naval combat RTS Battlestations: Midway was no exception. So its army of fans will be pleased to know that there's a sequel on its way in the form of Battlestations: Pacific late in 2008. As the name suggests, Battlestations: Pacific will pick up the action in the Pacific Ocean theatre of war, and you'll play both as the US and the Japanese navies in two distinct campaigns. Battlestations: Pacific preview for the PC

Take part in two World War II naval campaigns in the South Seas, playing as the Americans from the Battle of Midway to Okinawa, and then as the Japanese fleet attacking Pearl Harbour before attempting to transform history and rule the Pacific.

What do we know?
This is the sequel to Battlestations: Midway, promising even more intense RTS action, the American and Japanese campaigns doubling the size of the first game with nearly 30 missions. 21 new units include the dreaded kamikaze pilots in fearsome rocket-powered Ohka on the Japanese side, which will add a unique dynamic to both campaigns.
