Just Cause 2 preview PCThe original Just Cause was a big, but surprise, hit a couple of years ago, a riotous adventure bursting with action in its jungle location. And its sequel Just Cause 2, due out this summer, promises more and better of the same - hero Rico will be back, with plenty of stuff to drive, shoot at, jump off and blow up in his stunt-filled missions. The locations are more varied this time and the game will be entirely free-roaming - you'll be free to wander at will and take up missions as and when you want. We have a full preview of Just Cause 2 this month - find out all the latest about the game now! ![]() Just Cause 2 preview for the PC Just Cause was one of the most endearing sandbox games and surprise hits of 2006. Despite its rough edges and somewhat empty island interiors, it was bursting with fun and when you found the action you really knew it, with car-top chases down jungle roads, pursued by gunjeeps and helicopter gunships as you wove through civilian traffic, the ability to fire a grapple at helicopters, pull out the pilots and ‘jack them before raining rockets down on drug plantations. The fantastic parachute allowed you to parascend behind moving cars using your grapple, or dive out of requisitioned planes and choppers to drift towards militia-held objectives. This was GTA gone wild, a jungle playground packed with bikes, quads, cars, trucks, helicopters, planes and speedboats – all available to use in your gun-toting rampage against the goons and bosses of factional warlords. If you can believe it, Just Cause 2 promises to follow this up with an even more extreme adventure! Unlikely-named Rico Rodriguez this time arrives at the massive 1000 square kilometres of mountainous jungle paradise that is Panau, a setting with even more varied environments and vehicles. Explore deserts in dune buggies, climb snowy crags in four-wheel-drives and parachute into dense jungle swathes. Again Rico is totally free to roam the entire island chain on foot, on wheels, from the sea, or in the air, choosing missions as desired, or just getting kicks from mad stunts and daring action. Brand Manager Alex Price tells us, "Remember everything you loved about Just Cause, then take it to the next level: vehicles, stunts, weapons, freedom, grappling hook, action, everything!"
