Command and Conquer Tiberium preview PCIn Tiberium, the Command and Conquer franchise will venture back into the first person shooter for the first time since the less than successful Renegade back in 2002. But Tiberium is already looking like a far more confident and ambitious project, a squad (or we should say squads) shooter that uses the stunning Unreal Engine 3 to show us what being on the front line of a Tiberium war is all about for the tiny soldiers you're used to ordering about with high altitude point-and-click. Secretly in development for three years, as you can see from these screens the game is now pretty advanced, which can also be said for the weaponry. Your squad leader will use just one main gun in Tiberium, the GD-10. But fear not, this highly advanced death-dealer combines railgun, rocket launcher, grenade launcher and energy beam all in one mighty morphing package. This Swiss Army Gun means that it will be far quicker to switch munitions on the fly, suited to the fast tactical decisions that you'll need to make as GD hero Ricardo Vega. Lay suppressing rail-gun fire on an enemy infantry squad then morph the GD-10 into a grenade launcher to take down an attacking chopper on a strafing run.
