You can play as any of the major combatants, British, Americans, Russians and also the Germans and Japanese in some historically accurate battles. That we found ourselves still playing it at 7am should be a recommendation, were it not for the fact that the preceding hours were a conveyer belt of laborious, repetitive grind, eking out territory inch by inch. This may be realistic, but it's not exactly thrill-a-minute stuff. Strategy on a massive scale, you will get through thousands of soldiers, with a message popping up each time you send another thousand to their graves, the oft-repeated phrase "reinforcements have arrived" ultimately becoming a curse.
