Before Buffy was kicking the living
crap out of vampires, and before
Derek Acorah was first
possessed by an angry child chimney
sweep, the Ghostbusters were the
hottest paranormal ticket in town.
For no good reason other than the
fact they can, Vivendi is resurrecting
the franchise 23 years after the original
movie starring Dan Aykroyd, Bill Murray
and Sigourney Weaver.
As in the movie duo, Ghostbusters
the Video Game is set in a New York
haunted by all manner of ghoulish
enemies, including the iconic Slimer – a
green hovering slobber monster with a
twisted sense of humour.
You'll play a parapsychology
professor on a mission to rid the city
that never sleeps of a threat that's in a
permanent state of slumber – that is to
say, dead guys.
But you won't be a member of the
original cast. Instead you'll don the
boiler suit of a raw recruit and have to
get used to facing building-sized enemies with an array of weapons
and gadgets which are yet to be
revealed by tight-lipped publishers.
