Where before, you could only play on two planes, the developers have now been able to create a much more realistic battlefield, with sweeping hills, rather than just severe ridges. This not only enhances the game's overall graphical appeal, but also adds another depth to the strategy, as you have yet another way to gain a strategic advantage over your opponents. Gain the upper ground. However, you needn't worry about the number of units being reduced because of the jump to 3D either. With a whopping 4,000 units available at any one time for you to play with, the battles are going to be just as epic as ever, but thanks to a rather nifty unit selection scheme, selecting the appropriate units to front your army won't be a problem..
