Stranglehold review for the PCStranglehold has been much heralded as 'the John Woo game' - the Hollywood director has been personally involved in the development of the game and much has been made of his trademark effects that Stranglehold is scattered with. Stranglehold also features the voice talents of star Chow Yun Fat, so you'd be forgiven for thinking it's more of a Hollywood blockbuster than a mere PC game. At its root of course, Stranglehold has to hold its own as an action shooter, so does all the movie hype add to the gameplay, or detract from it? Huge chunks of scenery like signs or flimsy balconies can be shot off onto the bad guys that can always be found standing still directly beneath or on top of them.
