MotoGP 07 will probably be the clear choice for motor-bike racing fans - following on from last year's MotoGP 06, this bike racer doesn't have much in the way of competition coming close to it. Crossing the divide between simulation and arcade racing, MotoGP 07 is a solid, polished game for existing fans and newcomers to bike racing alike, but are there enough new features and enhancements to make it worth a purchase for fans of the 06 version? After a few horrifically painful looking tumbles there are a few things you learn very quickly when you're racing motorbikes instead of cars. You still need to follow the racing line, power through corners and know when to brake, but humans on two wheels are predictably a bit flimsy. Anything from attempting a cheeky nudge to accelerating too fast will cause things to swap to the darkly funny crash camera, and you'll have plenty of time to think about what you did wrong while you watch your poor avatar slide along the tarmac.

It's made worse because MotoGP ‘07, just like ‘06, straddles the gap between arcade and simulation. The imagined racetracks and more lenient physics of Extreme mode, plus a generic rock soundtrack, live alongside the option to tinker with your suspension and wheelbase.
