ObsCure 2 review for the PC

It's off to college in ObsCure 2 for a mix of combat and puzzling. ObsCure 2 finds you on a college campus fighting to stay alive and one step ahead of mutant plant enemies - the plot is wafer-thin but we've been pleasantly surprised by this horror spoof, which is a riot if you approach it tongue firmly in cheek. ObsCure 2 review for the PC
As we're faced with the prospect of reviewing yet another sequel, it's easy to be cynical (especially for us). Fortunately, however, this little gem confounded our expectations and turned out to be an absolute riot. The key, it would appear, is to not take this game too seriously.

School daze
You'll be familiar with horror films based in American colleges and high schools – think Scream and you're on the right lines. But this story is slightly removed from that. The wonderfully stereotypical-and-yet-not-stereotypical characters and wafer-thin plot are more reminiscent of films like Scary Movie and Shriek If You Know What I Did Last Friday the Thirteenth. Before you dismiss this as puerile nonsense, though, the fun is apparently being poked at everyone, even the developers themselves. This is a game to play with a smile on your face.
