Blacksite preview for the PCIt's back to Area 51 later this year, with Blacksite from Midway. You'll lead a team of commandos, fresh from the Iraq war, through a combat zone back in the US peopled with aliens. The spooky shooter is a follow up to 2003's Area 51, but it's looking like a very different - and vastly improved - game. Blacksite is still a way off hitting the screens - it's not due out until November - but until then, our preview can fill the gaps for you with all the latest from the development and plenty of looks at the game. ![]() Blacksite preview for the PC Thankfully, Blacksite: Area 51, is looking a lot more promising. Putting players in the boots of a military veteran in the middle of the Iraq war, Blacksite doesn't exactly begin like your normal sci-fi shooter. As the intro unfolds, you find yourself in an unknown Iraqi town, surrounded by your squad, who have been tasked with finding and assassinating an Iraqi military leader, who's meant to be hoarding WMDs. So far, so Call of Duty, but things soon get a lot more interesting when it turns out your enemy isn't exactly equipped with your everyday WMDs, per se, but rather, something a bit more alien in origin.
