Developer eyeing up developers with MOBA experience.
Dead Space studio Visceral Games is staffing up for a new action title heading to PC, job listings have revealed.
The Redwood developer, who’s currently wrapping up development on Dead Space 3 and Army of Two: The Devil’s Cartel has revealed it’s next project will be an action title but only for PC.
GamerZines revealed that the developer was looking to develop a MOBA title back in May but further job listings have revealed that Visceral is continuing to hire for the project.
For those unfamiliar with the term, MOBA means Multiplayer Online Battle Arena which is a hybrid of action and real-time strategy games.
MOBA is often used to describe such popular games as Defense of the Ancients (or Dota as it is commonly named).
A listing for Character Concept artist confirmed that studio’s choice of platform while another hiring a Game Designer to focus on characters to seeking talents with experience with “MOBA, Action RTS, Action RPG or related genres”
Another community manager listing asks for an “unhealthy passion for MOBA games.”
Sounds like quite the departure from the studio’s usual output.
