Next-gen engine hinted at in Filmmaker script.
Mentions of Valve’s Source 2 engine has been spotted in the script files of the recently launched Source Filmmaker.
More than 60 references to the Source 2 engine were found by fan site Valve Time suggesting that Valve could be preparing an engine for next-generation hardware.
One of those references can be found below:
”’Return an str with the current engine version. If key doesn’t doesn’t exist, assume ‘Source’, otherwise invalid — assume next-gen ‘Source 2′.”
It is suggested that the next entry in the Half-Life series might debut this tech.
