Valve launch Steam for Schools Initiative

If only they had when I was a boy...

Furthering the cause of video games worldwide, has announced that they will be giving away for free to schools via a new learn by gaming scheme.

The ‘Steam for Schools’ initiative was announced at the Games for Change conference and can be properly investigated by heading to learnwithportals.com.

The way it’ll work is that educators need to sign up at the aforementioned website to get access to the project, from there they will gain access to the recently launched level editor for Portal 2 and some sample levels allowing students to share, create and play levels in the classroom.

What a brilliant idea! Thanks to Kotaku for giving us a heads-up.
