SEGA has announced that the PC version of Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed will get three exclusive characters.
Usually multi-format kart racers get pooped out onto the PC platform with little optimisation or real effort, but SEGA and developers Sumo Digital are doing much more than that by packing in special racers dedicated to Team Fortress 2, Total War: Shogun 2 and bizarrely, Football Manger.
All the new characters are shown in the new trailer below:
We understand Team Fortress 2, with the Heavy managing water racing, the Pyro tackling the ground and the Spy providing aerial superiority – hell we even understand why a Shogun character is in here, thanks to the impact of Japanese Imperial art, but ‘Manager Man’? This inclusion with his executive plane and giant mobile phone is so bizarre it’s almost kind of cool….
Sonic & All Stars Racing Transformed will be released exclusively via digital retailers on January 31st for £19.99. Just in case you need a closer look at these new characters before putting your money down, we’ve placed all the screenshots we have available below.
