The DRM-free platformer now available for £19.99.
After a lengthy porting process, Rayman Origins has finally been made available for PC via Steam and Ubisoft’s own digital store for £19.99.
We fell in love with the exceptional platformer last month when we reviewed for March’s issue of PCGZine, but another reason why this release is significant is that Ubisoft are not bundling any of their often criticised DRM with the game.
For such a significant title that’s a very interesting development and we’re sure Ubisoft’s top brass will be keeping an eagle eye on sales figures to see if releasing DRM-free games results in more sales in the marketplace.
Speaking frankly, if you’ve ever wanted to get an Ubisoft product but have been put off by their foolhardy DRM measures buy Rayman Origins, as you may be able to get the French publisher to change their ways in the future.
You’ll also get one of the best platformers in recent years for your efforts. A bargain in our eyes…
