Unlimited supply of new levels heading to PC and Mac versions very soon.
The new levels just might look a little like this...or not.
Valve has announced that free Portal 2 DLC will be released on May 8th for PC and Mac.
The new content, titled ‘Perpetual Testing Initiative’, allows players to create, share, play and rate new portal levels via the Steam Workshop which currently only supports user-generated content for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim.
Interestingly Valve has also announced that the new DLC will automatically add new levels to Portal 2 without any prompting from players. We imagine only the cream of the user-generated crop will be given this honour.
Portal 2 was one of favourite games of last year and we’re relishing the opportunity to jump back in again next month with all new levels to enjoy. We can’t wait!
