4X strategy games are experiencing somewhat of a resurgence at the moment with Endless Space and a new Sins of the Solar Empire expansion arriving over the past few months. Yet really those games are just the hors d’oeuvres before the satisfying main course that is .

The first effort from Novacore Studios does a lot different to the traditional 4X experience with a story-driven campaign, and fully evolved characters. Yet all the expected bells and whistles are here, including the ability to design and create your own ships, colonise planets, conduct negotiations with other races and of course orchestrate multiple fleets across different systems.

In this exciting supplement we catalogue our experiences with a near final release build, talk to NovaCore Studios about their début creation and highlight some features which are certainly worth getting excited about. If you can avoid it, do not purchase this sim. its been pushed through and is NOT what the review companys claim. Its full of bugs, still in an alpha and so far the dev’s have not responded.

save your income, the publisher is just out to rake in the bucks.
