Electronic Arts digital games service has attracted nearly 10m users since October.

Origin is still a far cry from Steam in regards to user count, but the service is moving in the right direction.
MCV is reporting that Electronic Arts’ digital games service Origin has accumulated nearly 40 million users since launch.
That’s nearly a jump of 10 million users since numbers were last reported in October, 2012.
Electonic Arts has recently launched the Mac version of Origin’s client which boasts a software line-up of around 50 titles, in comparison to the 500 available for PC on the service. Following a trend pioneered by Valve via Steam, EA is also offering a dual-play service, with titles bought for Mac able to be played on PC and vice-versa.
With a population number of nearly 40 million the significance of EA’s Origin service is certainly growing.
