Troubled open-world game This is Vegas is no more more according to reports on CVG.

The ex-Midway title was picked up by Warner Bros. when the former publisher of Mortal Kombat went under last year.

According to a trustworthy source from the news-related website, the canned project cost around $50 million to produce and was allegedly only months away from release on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC.

Hopefully some recent footage will emerge from the cancelled project, so gamers can get a glimpse at what the final game may have looked like.

At this point it is worth noting that Warner Bros. has not officially confirmed whether This is Vegas is indeed dead, but all signs point to an unhappy ending for the expensive project.
