Obsidian's Aliens RPG project, which was cancelled by Sega last year, has somehow found its way onto YouTube, before being pulled after a copywright claim by Sega Europe.
We don't usually report on leaked gameplay footage until it has been verified, but if a publisher asks for the video to be pulled due to copyright then we are pretty sure that the video is legitimate.

The action is viewed from just over the shoulder and a simple hud seems to be in place featuring character slots for a squad of four.
Both sound and graphics are pretty low-tech but the core gameplay is there, this indicates that Obsidian were quite a way into the game's development before it was controversially canned during June 2009.
It's always hard to tell with leaked footage whether this would have transformed into a enjoyable title, but we think the Aliens universe is much better suited to the first person shooting genre.
Thankfully we'll be able to fill our boots this year with Aliens vs Predator and Aliens: Colonial Marines, all scheduled to make an appearance in 2010.
