In an exclusive interview with Gamerzines.com Adam Mersky, PR Manager of Turbine, has outlined why he thinks that the forthcoming pay to play update for Lord of the Rings Online is the biggest yet.

Siege of Mirkwood
The castle dominates the forest landscape.
"The Lord of the Rings Online is committed to continuing free content updates and support. Siege of Mirkwood has so many new systems in it from Skirmishes to Legendary Item and combat system upgrades, along with a level cap increase, that this is really an expansion for the game." Explained Adam, who has defended the expansion against those who have argued that the new Book isn't that much bigger than their free updates.

Siege of Mirkwood also features are (sic) largest Book of the Epic ever! It's big."

Princess isn't in this castle.
When it comes to subscription titles, sometimes you need to trust a developer. Turbine have a great record when it comes to value, especially when you consider how many free updates they served up so far with Lord of the Rings Online.

Orcs love their catapults.
We haven't had a chance to play the update yet, but from what we have seen there will be plenty of entertaining content for fans when the expansion is released in December. To hear more about Siege of Mirkwood click the link for our interview on the right.
