What's that? You're too busy reading stories about Modern Warfare 2 to care about Medal of Honour. Well that's just sad, because Medal of Honour: Allied Assault was one of the best shooters around during its day, and we hear from EA's Frank Gibeau that a series reboot maybe on the way.
The Call of Duty and Medal of Honour rivalry goes way back to 2002 when both series were covering the same subject matter. Competition was fierce throughout each IPs multiple sequels and expansions but EA's last chapter, Airborne, didn't perform as well as hoped and the franchise was put on the back-burner.
At least that was what we believed until Gibeau's comments during an investor call surfaced on G4TV, teasing a "revitalization" of the classic Medal of Honour franchise, in the same manner of the Need for Speed series.

Mr Gibeau, who is the head of EA Games label, also suggests that other "core IPs" could be eligible for similar treatment and that we'll hear more in 2010.
We already know that another Mirror's Edge is in the works and that the Criterion team are working on the next Need for Speed, but what other core franchises could EA be talking about?
