There are some bold claims coming from developer 2K Czech with regard to its upcoming sandbox-style third person shooter, Mafia II.

Mafia II isn't going to be all about the dazzling visual effects though, 2K says it is also putting a strong emphasis on the storyline to deliver an all-round top quality production.

You can expect plenty of gun fights, car chases and Mafia-style shenanigans when Mafia II is released this summer. But will the fictional city of Empire Bay really be more detailed that the streets of Rockstar's Grand Theft series? We're reserving judgement for now, but we can't wait to find out!
